OK I admit I am way late on this (blog time anyway) but given the lack of interest in US news for Soccer I had to hear about it on NPR on my drive home.
250 Million USD for a soccer player in the US. Unbelievable.
I have to be honest though I don't know how they will recoup this. Not with the attendance I have seen for MLS. Perhaps he will change that.
Should be entertaining anyway.
